I think I’ve mentioned before that I don’t consider myself to be religious but I do think of myself as spiritual. I believe that anything is possible, maybe there is a God, maybe there is someone at work who decides our fate. I don’t believe in hell. I do believe in angels. I think that you either end up being an angel and helping those left behind on Earth or you end up nowhere.

So why am I pondering this more today? Because I’m thinking of Miss A and wanting her to make her own choices about her beliefs. She seems to enjoy RE at school. Does that mean that she would enjoy children’s bible study at church? Should I make the effort to go to church and give her that exposure? Honestly, I find sermons boring. I know where I’m going in life and I accept that a higher power might also have plans for me. I’ll take whatever is thrown at me and deal with it. I do not believe that we need to sit through sermons and church services to embrace God into our lives.  I’m sorry if that offends some readers but that’s how I feel.

So what do you think? Would you put yourself through something that you feel totally boring and irrelevant to your life just so your child could have more choices?

The upside is that I might meet some interesting and lovely people!
